After almost one year there is a new Dreambox Restream update. It took so long because of the fact that I moved to a new home. And that I was not allowed to have a dish on my outside wall.
After 6 months I installed the cable tuner and start developing again and here is the result. And thanks for the many e-mails. It really helped me to get it going again.
There are some bug fixes and some new features. If you are missing some features or you having problems, don't hesitate so send an e-mail...
Just after release of version 1.4 I and others noticed some bugs. These should be fixed now.
A problem was that the XAJAX framework debugging was running. And that can be quit annoying.
A trans-coding problem, which made it impossible to stream. Except H.264. Which is not correct of course.
And a new feature is that the Wowza server can now be another server than the web server.
As of today there is a new version of Dreambox ReStream. It is version 1.4. Version 1.3 has never been released if you wonder....
This version supports now Flash streaming in H.264 video and MP4A audio. All you need a working Wowza Media Server. And the great thing is that it is FREE! For 10 concurrent users. So that should do. It can be installed on Windows and Linux.
For now it is not possible to have the Wowza server on a different server than VLC and the webserver.
As of 12 march LT Team has updated there superb Dreambox Image. The also updated there Stream2Dream player with the ability to watch Youtube movies.

Server part:
Install VLC according the installation instructions. On a Debian based system you can use apt-get install vlc. It will everything what is needed to run VLC. Just remember where you installed it or that you are able to find the VLC executable file.
Unzip the DreamboxRestream software somewhere in your webroot where you are able to reach with you web client.
After unzipping open the web page and the setup will start.
Here you can download the old PHP code for the server part. This code is based on PHP5 and object oriented. So you need at lease PHP 5 installed on your web server. Got reports of working systems on both Windows and Linux. Get your version right now.
The new code is now on Github.com: https://github.com/theyosh/DreamboxReStream
version 2.4.7 (21-09-2018)
* Changed player to Clappr.io player
* Fixed some EPG information and picons
How does this work?
Look at the image below. It gives a small impression how everything works. It is based on the original version of M4RTiN for the enigma1 version. But his version gave me a bunch of errors. And the code was badly written. Therefore a new version based om the same principal.
Dreambox ReStream is a piece of PHP software that allows you to stream your television through the internet. Basically the software will change the TV stream to an internet capable stream. So that you can watch television while you are not at home. And you can watch on any kind device.
The software should work with any enigma based television encoder.
