Dreambox ReStream Live image update

A new version of the Dreambox ReStream Live image has been released. It took some time to update it, but finally it's here!

The new version is running the latest LTS 14.04. So it should be working for a while :D With the new LTS, the daily VLC ppa is used for getting the most stable and latest version of VLC.

And the new Live image ofcourse has the latest Dreambox ReStream software which is version 2.3.5. Head over to the download page for the image.

Dreambox ReStream Live Image installation manual

There is now a installation manual for Dreambox ReStream Live Image. It is based on the Mac OSX version of VirtualBox. So the screen could look a bit different. But it should make live a bit easier now.

In this tutorial you will get the Dreambox ReStream Live image running in Virtual Box. By default the Dreambox ReStream Live Image interface is accessable at http://dreamboxrestream.

The steps that are needed are:

  1. Download and Install VirtualBox
  2. Download the Dreambox ReStream Live Image
  3. Import the Dreambox ReStream Live Image into VirtualBox
  4. Configure the right network interface in VirtualBox
  5. Start the image and wait a minute
  6. Setting up Dreambox ReStream

Finally the Dreambox ReStream Live image is available. It took a while to get it right, but now, here it is!! Download it from the Dreambox ReStream project page.
