A new version of the Dreambox ReStream Live image has been released. It took some time to update it, but finally it's here!
The new version is running the latest LTS 14.04. So it should be working for a while 
With the new LTS, the daily VLC ppa is used for getting the most stable and latest version of VLC.
A small message just informing that there is a new Live image for download. It has the latest Dreambox ReStream (2.1.1). And it has been updated with the latest Ubuntu packages. As usual, it should start with the setup wizard when run for the first time.
There is now a installation manual for Dreambox ReStream Live Image. It is based on the Mac OSX version of VirtualBox. So the screen could look a bit different. But it should make live a bit easier now.

In this tutorial you will get the Dreambox ReStream Live image running in Virtual Box. By default the Dreambox ReStream Live Image interface is accessible at http://dreamboxrestream.

Finally the Dreambox ReStream Live image is available. It took a while to get it right, but now, here it is!! Download it from the Dreambox ReStream project page. More information about settings and configuration will come. Any reports of bugs/issues and or wishes can be mailed at dreambox@theyosh.nl.
If a Linux server is a bit hard to install, or you don't have any spare servers, you can now use the Live image. This image is a Virtual Box image. After downloading the Live image, import it in Virtual Box. After starting up, it should be accessible at http://dreamboxrestream. The Live image is based on a Ubuntu Linux server 16.04 LTS.
